The Initial Consultation ­
Enjoy an initial meeting with a certified wellness coach! Depending on your availability, this can be done over the phone if it is more convenient. Here, you'll discuss your personal bio (age, weight, height, etc.), daily routines, eating habits, exercise frequency, personal goals, dietary needs, and any injuries or medical conditions we should know about. We will discuss any reasons you may have trouble adhering to the program and possible solutions to help you stay on track!

The Metabolic Test ­
This super unique tool provides us with real numbers that help us determine your exact personal caloric needs, and which meals on our PlanIt Eats menu can help you meet your needs and goals. (Geek moment - this test uses an indirect calorimeter which allows us to determine your exact RMR/REE, aka your resting metabolic rate/resting energy expenditure, using the amount of oxygen your body consumes, which in turn let’s us know the exact amount of calories your body uses to perform its normal day to day, and other physical activities. 

The Diet ­
It's simple, easy, and delicious! Based off the numbers we determine from your Metabolic Test, we provide you with specific meals to help you meet your caloric goals. You will also receive a welcome package by email that contains a healthy shopping guide, a diet tracker to help you stay on track, and a tips guide that will expand your knowledge and understanding of why certain foods are bad or good for your body, plus tips on how to sustain your energy and metabolism throughout the day!  (Note about our menu! It is dairy-free, gluten-free, Non-GMO, MSG-free, and doesn’t contain added sugars or preservatives. We also offer paleo-friendly and vegan-friendly meals! Plus, our meals are completely customizable! If you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or you’re just not keen on certain foods let us know and we can substitute and switch things out for you!)    

Customized Workouts (optional)
We also offer individualized workouts that are specific to your goals. If you choose to also pair the 8-week program with fitness training, you can expect an initial physical evaluation to measure your limitations and physical fitness level. The training is focused on fully functional movements constantly changing to promote muscle gain and fat burning. Science has proven these movements transform the body more efficiently than other types of training.

Hello, and thank you for inquiring about our 8 Week Slim Down !

This program/challenge is designed to produce individualized results in an 8 week time period. There are 3 parts to the 8 Week Slim Down : the initial consultation, the metabolic test, and the diet (ordering your Clean Eats Delivery meals). Let's break it down.

The Initial Consultation ­ The consultation part of this program consists of an initial meeting between a certified wellness coach and the client (depending on availability of the client this consultation can be done over the phone if it is more convenient). During this consultation we will discuss your personal bio (age, weight, height, etc.), day to day routines, eating habits, exercise frequency, personal goals, dietary needs, any injuries or medical conditions we should know about, reasons you may have trouble adhering to the program and possible solutions to help you stay on track!

The Metabolic Test ­ The Metabolic Test portion of this program provides us with “real numbers” that will help us determine your exact caloric needs along with what specific foods on our Clean Eats Delivery menu that will help you meet those caloric needs. The Metabolic Test is completed by using an indirect calorimeter, this machine allows us to determine your exact RMR/REE (resting metabolic rate/resting energy expenditure) using the amount of oxygen your body consumes, which in turn let’s us know the exact amount of calories your body uses to perform its normal day to day activities (including any exercise you normally perform).

The Diet ­ “The Diet” part of this program is simple, easy, and delicious! Based off the “real numbers” we determine from your Metabolic Test, we provide you with meals to accommodate those “real numbers” and help you meet your caloric goals (i.e. calorie deficits to promote weight loss or calorie increases to promote weight/muscle gain) The great part about our menu is it is completely dairy free, gluten free, Non GMO, MSG free, and doesn’t contain added sugars or preservatives. Along with our meals being healthy and good for you our meals are completely customizable! What does that mean? Well, if you have any food allergies or you’re just not keen on certain foods let us know and we can substitute and switch things out for you. (i.e. if you are on a no grain diet, meals that contain quinoa or brown rice could be substituted for double vegetables ­ asparagus, kale, spinach, broccoli, sweet potato, etc.)

Along with all of these helpful tools and techniques to help you reach your goals, we will also email you a “welcome package” that will contain a shopping guide to help you identify the best and healthiest options at the grocery store, a diet tracker that allows you to write down what you’ve consumed for the day/week to help you stay on track with your daily caloric needs, and finally a Helpful tips” guide that will expand your knowledge and understanding of why certain things/foods are bad or good for your body as well as tips on how to start your day off right while keeping your body in the best state possible throughout the day!

What is PlanitEats?

We started as the Healthy Grille in 2002 and we have switched to an online platform in 2015. PlanIt Eats is dedicated to teaching our customers not only what to eat, but how to eat. We offer meals, snacks and more that are sugar free, dairy free, gluten free, and non GMO. We deliver nationwide! We also offer services such as metabolic testing where we can help create a meal plan designed specifically for you whether your goal is to lose weight, maintain weight, or gain lean muscle, we will get you there.

Can I customize my order?

Yes, the entire menu is customizable. We can accommodate food allergies and most requests. If you are on a low carb diet for example, we can swap out your brown rice or quinoa for double vegetables.

Do you have gluten free options?

Yes, the entire menu is gluten free.

Why pre-order online?

There are several benefits to pre-ordering online. You save time, can customize your meals with online pre-ordering. There are several different preordering plans to save money with! Delivery is also an option for those who are too busy to stop by and grab their meals!

What is the window for ordering?

The cut off is Thursday by 6pm. This ensures local delivery Monday or Tuesday (Fedex) delivery or Sunday in store pick up.

When do you deliver?

Not home for delivery? No problem! With a one time set up fee of just $10 we provide you with a convenient Thermo cooler that you can keep your food delivery in for up to 24 hours! Fee is waived on orders over $100! Just let us know where to leave the cooler, it's that simple! *Only orders of $30 or more can qualify for delivery.

If you're located out of our local delivery area we can still deliver via FED-EX! Just select that option at checkout!

Do I have to be home For delivery?

The Cooler program is designed to allow busy customers the convenience of not having to be home to receive their delivery. The Cooler program is a one time fee of $10.00 so at times you are not home for your delivery a Planit Eats cooler will be left on your doorstep with ice packs that guarantee freshness for up to 48 hours. Once you receive the first delivery with your cooler and ice packs every time you will not be home for your delivery the cooler must be left in the designated delivery location with the re­frozen ice packs (that you store in your freezer during the week) in order for us to safely load your delivery into the cooler. This program does not apply to orders being fedex as the fedex orders are shipped in these coolers already. No additional charge on fedex orders.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes, the delivery fee varies by location. To find out the cost of your delivery, go online to menu, prior to checkout, after picking your items, you will then be able to pick your delivery location and see the cost of delivery.

Can I pick up my food instead of delivery?

Yes you can. You can pick up your food at a local retail location near you.

How much do the meals cost?

Most meals range between $10.50 and $14.00. Programs, meal plans and bulk ordering have the benefit of having meals at a discount.

Do you have vegan and vegetarian options on your menu?

We currently offer several vegan meals and we are always working on expanding our vegetarian ­friendly menu.

Is the food fresh or frozen?

Our food is always delivered fresh, never frozen.

How long does the food last once delivered?

All meals are labeled with a freeze by date, they will typically last up to 2 months in the freezer.

Can meals be frozen?

Most meals can be frozen. We don’t recommend freezing the salads, seafood meals or sirloin.

What is the best way to heat my meals?

The meals come in microwave safe containers, if you choose this option, depending on the wattage of your microwave, the cooking time may vary, so keep an eye on it to prevent over cooking, we recommend starting with 90 seconds. Make sure to remove the lid. Another heating option is to transfer the food from its original container onto an oven safe plate or dish and heat it either in your oven, toaster oven or our recommendation ­ a convection countertop oven, at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and check, additional time may be required.

Is there a commitment for ordering?

There is no sign up or commitment, order week to week or whenever is convenient for you. However, you can choose to sign up for recurring weekly delivery.

If I request a custom meal plan, do I choose my meals or do you choose them for me?

You have the option to pick your meals or choose the chef’s choice (we pick them for you).

Is there a minimum requirement for delivery?

The minimum requirement for delivery is 3 meals or $30 before tax and delivery fees.

How do I get started?

Simply go to the menu and choose at least 3 meals or $30 worth of food, continue the steps to checkout where you will purchase your order.

What programs do you offer?

We offer programs targeting weight loss, lean muscle gain, overall wellness and more! Our meal plans are designed not only to help people reach their goals but also educate them at the same time. We also offer Nutritional Assessments and Metabolic Testing to help individuals gauge where they are in their fitness journey and help them meet their goals.

Can I walk into a store without pre-ordering a meal?

Yes! If you happened to be located in one of the towns that have our retail locations. We are always stocked with a variety of meals for customers to purchase and enjoy, so come on in and check us out!
